Job description
Role overview
This position involves safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments using a company vehicle. The role is suited to someone who enjoys working with people, communicates clearly, and can respond to short-notice scheduling needs.
Key duties
The driver will be responsible for providing dependable patient transportation services and supporting passengers as needed during transfers.
- Transport patients between their homes and doctor’s appointments.
- Help wheelchair-bound clients get in and out safely when required.
- Handle the company vehicle responsibly and maintain a professional approach while on duty.
- Be available on short notice when scheduling needs change.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required; a Class C license is preferred.
- Physical ability to assist wheelchair users and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to complete a drug screening, background check, and fingerprinting before hiring.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be comfortable using a smartphone and have basic computer skills.
- A people-oriented attitude is essential for this role.
