About the Role
Regency Hospital is looking for a Transplant Coordinator to join its Administration department in Kanpur. The position calls for a healthcare professional with strong clinical understanding, careful documentation habits, and the ability to manage coordination across patients, families, clinicians, and regulatory processes.

Role Summary
The coordinator will support the complete transplant journey, from patient education and candidate evaluation to donor coordination, documentation, compliance, and post-transplant follow-up. The role also involves regular communication with families, maintaining confidentiality, and keeping accurate records and performance reports.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be expected to manage transplant-related coordination work end to end, ensuring smooth collaboration between patients, families, and medical teams.
- Explain the transplant journey to patients in a clear and supportive manner, and respond to their questions.
- Assess and coordinate with possible organ donors, including the organ recovery process.
- Support the review and selection of transplant candidates.
- Make sure all legal, regulatory, and procedural obligations connected to organ transplantation are fully met.
- Track post-transplant recovery and help monitor whether patients are meeting their rehabilitation goals.
- Handle the paperwork, tracking tools, and documentation required across the transplant process.
- Communicate sensitively with families of deceased donors, including discussing the donation process and any related expenses.
- Protect patient confidentiality and personal health information in line with HIPAA standards.
- Improve patient experience by offering timely guidance and transparent information about transplant procedures.
- Ensure donor and recipient screening, testing, and records comply with all applicable requirements.
- Prepare regular updates and reports on outcome measures such as patient results, readmission trends, and satisfaction indicators.
- Keep patients updated on their organ waitlist status and inform them of any changes in care planning.
- Work in coordination with clinicians to support smooth handoffs between stages of transplant care.
- Maintain complete and accurate records related to organ donation and transplantation.
