This opportunity is for a Trades Foreperson on a large residential development in Oldtown, County Roscommon.
Key responsibilities
- Review the work due to take place, organise the resources needed alongside the site programme, and make sure timelines are achieved in the right sequence.
- Oversee and coordinate on-site employees as well as subcontractors.
- Work closely with the design team, Site Manager, and other relevant parties to keep progress aligned.
- Prepare the online daily site diary and complete weekly records in line with company procedures.
- Handle compliance, administration, and the recording of operational progress and subcontractor performance.
- Deliver training and practical technical guidance to the site team.
- Plan tasks efficiently and organise plant and site facilities so deadlines can be met.
- Represent the company professionally in dealings with the public and other stakeholders.
- Undertake additional tasks as needed by the business from time to time.
Requirements
- A Degree, Higher Diploma, or HETAC qualification, or equivalent hands-on trade experience.
- Previous experience in residential developments is essential.
- Working knowledge of current building regulations and certification standards.
- Strong accountability and ownership for assigned work and projects.
- Careful, accurate, and detail-oriented working style with a methodical approach.
- Ability to lead others, take initiative, and stay self-driven.
