About the Role

The company is looking for a motivated Trade Sales Representative to expand its product reach across retail, wholesale, and trade customers throughout the island. This position combines new business development with account management and field execution to improve volume, distribution, and brand visibility. It suits a self-driven sales professional who understands route-to-market dynamics and enjoys working directly with customers in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop a portfolio of trade accounts, including retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and key accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Identify prospects, present product offerings, and secure new business to increase numeric and weighted distribution.
  • Carry out sales plans covering product placement, pricing, promotions, and merchandising at the point of sale.
  • Visit stores and accounts regularly to take orders, strengthen relationships, and uncover opportunities for growth.
  • Work to secure shelf space, displays, and secondary placements that improve brand presence and sales.
  • Track market movements, competitor actions, and customer feedback, then share useful insights with the sales manager.
  • Work toward monthly and quarterly targets for sales, distribution, and collections.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve delivery, invoicing, service, and payment-related concerns promptly.
  • Keep CRM records updated with visit notes, pipeline status, and account planning details.

Requirements

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in field sales, trade sales, or distribution of household consumer-related products.
  • A demonstrated history of meeting or surpassing sales targets in territory-based or B2B roles.
  • Strong skills in relationship management, negotiation, and communication, along with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently in the field, manage daily routes, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems, MS Office or Google Workspace, and mobile sales applications.
  • A valid driver’s license and dependable access to a vehicle.
  • A diploma or degree in business, marketing, or a related area is considered an advantage.
