About the Role
Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. (ACSI), part of Aecon Group Inc., is hiring an experienced Tool Crib Attendant for its industrial operations to support project needs at the BHP Wet Mill project in Jansen, Saskatchewan. The role sits within a multi-disciplinary construction environment delivering civil, electrical, and mechanical services such as piping, insulation, scaffolding, and module fabrication. What You’ll Do
- Track rental tools and test equipment and ensure they are returned on time.
- Organize and issue trade tools, consumables, and test equipment.
- Maintain inventory levels and place orders for trade-specific consumables and personal protective equipment.
- Manage the daily issue and return process for tools and test equipment.
- Support the materials team by receiving and identifying trade-related materials.
- Read and interpret job-related documentation.
- Carry out additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Valid CSTS-20 certificate.
- Working knowledge of industrial construction methods, tools, and equipment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Comfortable using a laptop and working with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
- Mechanical aptitude with physical strength and manual dexterity.
- Able to stand or crouch for extended periods.
- Works well with others in a team setting.
- Good verbal, written, and reading communication skills.
- Understanding of quality standards.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
- Strong organization and housekeeping skills.
- Able to lift and handle materials up to 25 kg.
- Prepared to work in varying weather conditions and environments.
- Solid knowledge of industrial safety procedures and policies.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Working Conditions
Project: BHP Wet Mill. Location: Jansen, SK. Pay range: $47.07 to $51.00 per hour. Overtime applies after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Work rotation is 14x7 (days/nights), with 11-hour shifts. Camp accommodation is available. Transportation allowance may be provided, ranging from $02,000 km, based on approved proof of residency documentation submitted. Candidates may need to complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and/or a criminal record check.
