Job description
Role Overview
This position supports day-to-day site operations through a mix of housekeeping, food service, cleaning, and dishwashing duties. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment while assisting with meal service and kitchen upkeep.
Final pay will be set using relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Competitive compensation is offered in line with applicable pay transparency laws, and more details about total rewards will be discussed by the Talent Acquisition team during the recruitment process. Canadian work experience is not required for this role. Some stages of recruitment and applicant screening may use AI-based tools.
Key Duties
- Keep residents’ rooms and shared spaces clean and well-maintained through regular housekeeping tasks.
- Help with food preparation, arrange and clean up chairs and tables, serve meals, deliver trays to residents, wash dishes, and keep the kitchen tidy.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, immediately report injuries or hazards to a supervisor, and complete other reasonable tasks assigned by management.
Candidate Profile
- A valid Food Handler Certificate, or an equivalent provincial certification, is required.
- Prior experience in housekeeping and food services is considered an advantage.
- Experience in healthcare or long-term care settings is preferred.
- You should be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, are needed, along with the ability to understand and follow instructions.
