Role Overview

The Test Center Administrator is the visible point of contact for Prometric at its testing centers. This role is well suited to someone who performs effectively in a busy environment and enjoys helping candidates through important exams. The position focuses on confirming candidate identity, overseeing exam sessions, and enforcing rules and procedures to protect exam integrity.

Prometric has a global team of more than 600 Test Center Administrators who help maintain control and professionalism in computer-based testing environments.

Work Location

Stockton, CA

Test Center Address: 3520 Brookside Rd #121, Stockton, CA 95219

Schedule

This is a full-time position with hours that may vary. The test center may operate Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday availability is required. Some evening shifts may also be needed, and Sunday hours are possible. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working a flexible schedule on any day from Monday through Saturday between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. Schedules are shared two weeks in advance.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to follow test center rules closely, welcome candidates, complete identity checks, carry out security screening, and monitor exam sessions throughout the testing period. You will also handle candidate concerns promptly, protect secure materials and the overall testing environment, report any behavior that goes against company policy, and help ensure a fair, comfortable testing experience for every examinee. Where required, you may also need to capture fingerprint identification digitally.

Qualifications and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and college experience is considered an advantage. Applicants must have at least one year of in-person customer service experience, such as work in retail, restaurants, or a call center. Candidates must also be at least 18 years old.

Skills Needed

You should be able to communicate clearly and professionally with both candidates and coworkers, write accurate and detailed reports, manage multiple tasks at once, and work with small tools and equipment when packing, shipping, or installing items. Comfort with Windows-based computer systems and common applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web browsers is also important.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds. You must be able to stand for long periods while exams are in progress, move through the testing area every 8 to 10 minutes, escort candidates to and from the room, and view computer screens and camera monitors clearly. You should also be able to work in tight spaces while maintaining required safety procedures.

Benefits

For employees scheduled for 20 or more hours per week, the role includes 12 paid holidays per year based on the work schedule and start date, a non-sales environment with no quotas, an office-based setting, no inventory or stocking duties, no floor moves, no overnight shifts, paid training, prorated sick time, a 401(k), an employee assistance program, vision coverage, and FSA. Full-time employees are also eligible for legal coverage and vacation benefits.
