Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position is based in Bidhannagar, Kolkata - Salt Lake Sector V. The Tendering Specialist will manage the complete tender cycle, from spotting opportunities and studying bid documents to collecting inputs from cross-functional teams and preparing final submissions. The role calls for building competitive proposals, ensuring all paperwork aligns with client needs and relevant regulations, and coordinating with customers, procurement, engineering, and finance teams to arrive at precise pricing and cost estimates. The position also involves handling clarifications, monitoring deadlines, and keeping accurate records of bids submitted and their outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
The person in this role will be expected to oversee tendering activities end to end, ensuring timely and compliant bid submissions. They will examine tender requirements, work with internal teams to gather technical and commercial information, and prepare proposal documents that are clear, complete, and competitive. They will also support pricing discussions, vendor coordination, quotation collection, and ongoing tracking of tender progress.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in managing tenders across functions, along with the ability to analyze documents, identify risks, and create accurate estimates. Strong communication skills are needed to work effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors. The role also requires capability in proposal drafting, procurement coordination, and handling multiple tenders at once while maintaining accuracy and organization. Familiarity with AI tools, Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word, and basic use of tender portals will be valuable. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred, and prior exposure to EPC or power transmission and distribution work will be an added advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
The monthly pay range for this role is INR 20,000 to INR 35,000, depending on the candidate’s experience and profile. The job also provides the chance to travel to new locations for customer meetings.
