Overview of Position
UNIQLO Global Creative Lab in New York is seeking a temporary Production Designer to assist with the finalization of campaign assets. This hands-on role is integral to our in-house creative team, responsible for producing final versions of assets and mechanicals for global campaigns. The ideal candidate is an expert in print and digital file production, capable of working on-site and collaborating with art directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure consistency across assets by working with UNIQLO’s brand standard signage templates.
- Produce print-ready, editable, and final mechanical files using Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Accurately interpret and adhere to material spec sheets, ensuring all files meet brand guidelines and technical requirements.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of both RGB and CMYK color spaces.
- Collaborate closely with Art Directors and lead creatives to grasp project requirements.
- Manage a high volume of work under tight deadlines, providing accurate time estimations.
- Maintain consistent quality across all deliverables and adhere to project timelines.
- Assist with organizing assets and managing versions for accuracy, with a strong focus on detail.
- Exhibit excellent file management, naming conventions, and version control practices.
- Partner with art directors to implement overall design direction and feedback.
- Utilize efficient time management skills to execute quick changes effectively.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other relevant design software.
- 3-6 years of design experience, ideally within a creative agency or production studio.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify and rectify minor design inconsistencies.
- Solid understanding of asset production workflows, file formats, and color management principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot design challenges and devise creative solutions.
- Effective time management for handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for seamless collaboration with art directors and stakeholders.
- Experience managing large-scale files in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with the workflow in creative agencies, production studios, or in-house creative departments.
Additional Information
The offered hourly rate ranges from $40 to $50. This range is determined by factors such as overall experience, relevant background, educational attainment, certifications, applicable skills, and the position's location.
