Job purpose
This opportunity is for a recent graduate who wants to build a career at the intersection of aviation and technology with a global brand. As a Technology Associate, you will enter a one-year structured development journey within Emirates Group IT and gain practical exposure, mentoring, and experience across areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud, cybersecurity, and software engineering.
In this role, you will contribute to the design, build, rollout, and ongoing support of technology products and solutions that strengthen Emirates Group business operations.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out technical tasks that help create solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and based on established engineering practices.
- Review business and system needs and support the technical design process by contributing to solutions that follow agreed standards.
- Build, configure, test, and deploy technology solutions as part of a team, ensuring they satisfy both functional and technical needs.
- Investigate issues, identify root causes, and troubleshoot application or system problems, escalating unresolved matters through the proper internal channels.
- Work with cross-functional teams to spot inefficiencies and suggest improvements while following Emirates Group IT standards, policies, and best practices.
- Assist with unit testing, validation, and quality assurance activities under the direction of senior colleagues.
- Help maintain playbooks, standards documents, and other governance materials.
Qualifications and experience
To be eligible, you should have a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technology discipline.
A CGPA of 3.0 or above, or an equivalent academic score, is required.
You should also have at least 1 year of exposure to current technologies through academic coursework or internships in a technology-related area.
This position is intended as an entry-level pathway for university graduates in a technology field.
Skills and knowledge
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to contribute to efficient, well-designed, and high-quality technical solutions.
- Comfort working in collaborative, cross-functional teams with clear communication and a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of Agile and DevOps delivery approaches.
- Familiarity with quality assurance concepts such as unit testing, functional testing, and test automation.
- Interest in learning and applying emerging technologies aligned to business needs.
- Exposure to at least one modern technology area such as application development, cloud, enterprise systems, integration, data, digital technologies, or security.
