Job description
Job Summary
This role focuses on keeping SMATV, MATV, IPTV, and related communication systems running reliably across residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use properties. The technician will handle day-to-day operations, preventive upkeep, fault finding, and repairs to ensure stable television signal distribution and strong performance of headend and network equipment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for SMATV and MATV installations.
- Diagnose and resolve problems related to signal quality, channel delivery, and reception.
- Service and maintain satellite dishes, antennas, amplifiers, splitters, and headend units.
- Test signal levels and verify overall system performance.
- Respond to service tickets and urgent breakdown situations.
- Document maintenance work, observed faults, and system issues.
- Follow safety rules and comply with required technical standards.
Requirements
- ITI qualification in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience maintaining SMATV/MATV systems.
- Working knowledge of RF distribution networks and signal testing instruments.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
