About AHEAD
AHEAD creates digital business platforms by combining cloud infrastructure, automation, analytics, and software delivery to support enterprise transformation.
The company places a strong emphasis on inclusion and belonging, aiming to ensure that different perspectives are represented, respected, and heard. It also states that it is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected characteristic.
AHEAD welcomes candidates who can help broaden the range of ideas and viewpoints within the organization.
Role Overview
The company is looking for a Technical Corporate Recruiter to strengthen and grow its hiring efforts. In this position, you will work closely with the recruiting team and hiring managers to build project teams and manage a well-run, efficient, and effective recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Source both passive and active candidates using networking, in-depth internet research, web searches, and telephone outreach for current and future hiring needs.
- Carry out candidate searches through database mining, job boards, targeted website searches, direct sourcing, and cold calling to support pipeline development.
- Recruit for technical positions such as Network Architect, Storage Administrator, Virtualization Engineer, and private or public cloud and automation/orchestration roles.
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to identify fresh ways to attract talent.
- Coordinate interviews, office visits, and recruiting events, while gathering and sharing interview feedback and helping run candidate review discussions.
- Publish approved openings on the applicant tracking system, job boards, and social media, then screen incoming resumes for role fit.
- Keep compliance details and sourced candidate records current so the internal research database stays accurate.
- Help conduct reference checks by reaching out to previous managers and peers.
- Collect, maintain, and refresh competitive intelligence information.
- Follow up on referrals to find qualified candidates.
- Support special projects and other assigned tasks as needed.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of experience in candidate research or recruitment, preferably within professional services or a search-firm environment, with exposure to IT and/or consulting hiring; agency recruiters are also encouraged to apply.
- Background in hardware or software recruitment, including developers, network/storage/virtualization engineers, infrastructure architects, and pre-sales profiles.
- Strong ability to use Boolean search, natural-language search, social media, and job-board search tools.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability across multiple projects.
- Proven success sourcing candidates in a highly competitive market, along with strong direct sourcing and cold-calling experience.
- Comfortable adapting quickly to changing priorities and work environments.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Leadership capability, with accountability for managing the recruiting process and coaching junior recruiters.
- High urgency, strong follow-through, and the ability to prioritize multiple search requests based on staffing needs.
- Able to deliver work quickly and accurately, including under pressure or tight deadlines.
- Experience with Lever is considered an advantage.
- Prior experience using an applicant tracking system is required.
Compensation
The role offers an OTE of £40,000 to £60,000 per year. This range includes base pay plus any applicable target bonus, and it may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
Why Join AHEAD
AHEAD highlights its internal communities, including Moving Women AHEAD and RISE AHEAD, as part of its commitment to diversity and shared learning.
The company also invests in growth through advanced office technology, a multi-million-dollar lab, cross-department training, development opportunities, and sponsorship for certifications and credentials.
AI in Hiring
AHEAD may use AI-based tools to help with parts of the hiring process, such as application review, resume analysis, response assessment, interview transcription, and summary creation. These tools support the recruiting team but do not replace human decision-making, and final hiring choices are made by people.
Applicants can request more information about data processing through the Candidate Privacy Notice or by contacting the company directly. Candidates may also opt out of AI review of applications and resumes by using the General Application and entering the role name in the Additional Information field. Opting out of recording and transcription during interviews is also allowed at any stage, including after an interview has started, and doing so will not affect candidacy.
AHEAD also notes that AI tools may be used to review application materials for inconsistencies or verification signals based on available information, again with final decisions remaining human-led.
