Job description
Job Summary
This role is for a skilled Technical Designer focused on aluminum facade systems. The position involves creating shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details for aluminum windows, doors, glazing systems, pergolas, and other architectural aluminum products. The designer will also lend technical support to interior fit-out projects when needed and work with clients to help them choose the most appropriate aluminum system for each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details for aluminum facade works.
- Study architectural drawings and project specifications to ensure technical accuracy.
- Carry out site measurements and confirm all dimensions before execution.
- Work closely with sales, production, procurement, and installation teams to keep project delivery aligned.
- Prepare material take-offs and update drawings whenever revisions are needed.
- Offer technical guidance during fabrication and on-site installation.
- Discuss aluminum system options with clients, including design choices, performance characteristics, and technical details.
- Suggest practical solutions based on project scope, budget, and design goals.
- Assist with technical drawings for interior fit-out work when required.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in aluminum systems.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of aluminum windows, doors, glazing systems, and fabrication workflows.
- Ability to present technical concepts clearly to clients and consultants.
- Prior exposure to site measurements and technical coordination tasks.
- Good communication and presentation abilities.
- Familiarity with interior fit-out and joinery drawings will be considered an added advantage.
- Preference for candidates with experience in residential villas and premium residential projects.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Doha, Qatar.
