Job description

About Police Bank

Police Bank was created to support the people who protect and serve. For more than six decades, the organisation has delivered simple, reliable banking to its members. It is now continuing its shift toward a more modern, member-focused business that blends a strong legacy with fresh thinking and meaningful, impact-driven work.

Role overview

As a Technical Business Analyst within the Projects team and reporting to the Senior Delivery Lead, you will work closely with business stakeholders to understand how they operate, capture their needs in clear documentation, and help guide technical and process improvements through design, implementation, and testing.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to uncover, clarify, sharpen, and model business requirements across assigned initiatives.
  • Prepare business process, requirement, and change documentation in the required formats and standards.
  • Map existing workflows and define target-state processes.
  • Identify risks that could affect delivery or ongoing operations.
  • Contribute to impact analysis and support the design of process and system solutions.
  • Coordinate and organise business analysis activities across projects.
  • Evaluate how well solutions are performing and the value they are delivering.

Requirements

  • Proven background as a Technical Business Analyst or Business Analyst in banking or financial services is essential.
  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a similar discipline is preferred, although equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Strong capability in eliciting, documenting, and controlling requirements for technical solutions.
  • Well-developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical people, and to translate business needs back to technical teams.
  • Confident presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability and the ability to juggle several priorities at once.

Why join Police Bank

Police Bank offers work that matters, the chance to create visible impact, a culture that values outcomes over hierarchy, flexibility in how work is done, and opportunities to learn and advance.

Benefits and rewards

  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements, along with generous parental leave and other leave options that support wellbeing and life circumstances.
  • Access to wellbeing programs, employee assistance support, and regular health initiatives.
  • Competitive superannuation, salary packaging, novated leasing, access to financial services, employee discounts, and a referral program.
  • Study support, paid study leave, reimbursement for professional memberships, and online learning resources.
  • Recognition through awards, milestone celebrations, birthday perks, volunteer leave, and a supportive community-oriented environment.
