About the Role
Ampol is a major Australian convenience retailer focused on making everyday stops simpler and more efficient for customers. In this store-based role, you’ll help create a welcoming experience for people who are refuelling, picking up essentials, or visiting for a quick purchase.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a retail team member, you’ll help keep the store running smoothly by supporting merchandising, managing stock, and maintaining accurate inventory control. You’ll also process transactions at the register and complete cash checks at the end of shift to ensure everything balances correctly.
Key Duties
- Provide friendly, helpful service and aim to go beyond customer expectations.
- Assist the store manager with day-to-day retail operations.
- Work cooperatively with the rest of the team to maintain smooth store performance.
- Pay close attention to safety, accuracy, and store standards.
- Be available for a 7-day roster, including overnight and weekend shifts when required.
Required Background
- Retail or customer service experience is preferred.
- Confidence using point-of-sale systems and handling cash correctly.
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
- Willingness to work across any day of the week, with nights and weekends essential.
