Role overview
Amazon is seeking a customer-focused, analytical, and proactive Team Lead to join its Operations function in Bengaluru. In this role, you will oversee a team, coordinate information across multiple stakeholders, and help resolve issues that could affect customer experience or business continuity.
The position calls for a solid understanding of logistics operations, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to identify process improvements and carry them through to completion.
What you will do
- Run shift operations while continuously looking for ways to raise team performance and manage related change effectively.
- Use performance metrics to guide team output and support overall business results.
- Assess trends, understand their business impact, and make decisions based on data.
- Coordinate with external parties such as carriers, vendors, and suppliers, as well as internal teams including Finance, Operations Excellence, and Fulfillment Centers.
- Raise issues or inconsistencies in data and information to the right owners and follow up until they are resolved.
- When needed, extract and analyze data from multiple systems using tools such as Excel, Access, SQL, and other data management platforms for ad hoc reporting.
Additional context
As part of the day-to-day work, the Team Lead will be responsible for managing a team and ensuring information moves smoothly across stakeholders so that customer experience and business continuity are protected. The role also includes spotting opportunities for operational improvement and taking those changes to completion.
Basic qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing.
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office tools and applications.
- Experience working with Excel.
