Role overview

This position is for an experienced Tax Manager based in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. The role calls for deep expertise in KSA taxation, along with a strong background in international tax matters and the ability to operate in a complex multinational environment.

What the role requires

  • Applicants must have substantial hands-on knowledge of Saudi tax regulations and prior experience in a comparable position.
  • Priority will be given to professionals currently serving in a similar capacity within a Big Four advisory firm, a leading law practice, or a multinational EPCI company.
  • A solid grasp of Middle East tax developments, OECD and EU initiatives, and European tax legislation is essential.
  • The role also requires a strong understanding of cross-border tax concepts, including transfer pricing.
  • Candidates should hold a tax qualification, a degree in a business-related discipline such as tax law or tax economics, or be a Chartered Accountant.
  • A minimum of 7 years of broad tax experience is needed, with progressively greater responsibility across advisory and in-house tax roles in large multinational, Big Four, or major law-firm environments.
  • Good knowledge of international tax interactions and strong financial accounting capabilities are expected, ideally including familiarity with US GAAP requirements.
  • Fluency in English is required for both spoken and written communication; Arabic will be considered a plus.
  • The ideal candidate should be practical, self-directed, and able to perform effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • This role requires the ability to connect operating business needs with legal entity structures and to align regional tax matters with global reporting frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills are important.
  • Experience across both tax advisory and compliance work is expected.
  • Exposure to inbound and outbound international tax matters is preferred.
  • Strong project coordination and presentation skills are necessary.
