Block LLP is hiring a relationship-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist in Burbank, California. This full-time position offers annual compensation between $65,000 and $85,000. The role is designed for someone who can help the firm grow by finding, engaging, and hiring strong talent across multiple departments.
The position involves working with firm leaders and department heads to run end-to-end recruiting, improve sourcing approaches, and contribute to a strong employer reputation. Responsibilities
- Run the recruiting process from initial sourcing through offer acceptance.
- Work with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and build hiring plans.
- Write and publish job postings across multiple recruiting channels.
- Identify and reach out to qualified candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
- Conduct phone screening and early-stage candidate evaluations.
- Schedule interviews and keep candidates informed throughout hiring.
- Present offers and help support negotiation and acceptance.
- Provide a polished and positive experience for every candidate.
- Act as the main contact for applicants during the recruitment journey.
- Represent the firm’s values, culture, and opportunities to prospective hires.
- Support employer branding efforts and recruiting events.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future roles.
- Keep candidate data accurate in the Applicant Tracking System.
- Monitor recruiting metrics, hiring progress, and funnel performance.
- Follow employment laws and recruiting best practices.
- Help improve recruiting processes, workflows, and documentation.
- Partner with leadership to find ways to improve hiring speed and quality.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand workforce needs and priorities.
- Take part in hiring strategy and talent planning discussions.
- Share market insights and recruiting recommendations that support business growth.
- Assist with onboarding coordination to help new hires transition smoothly.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or a similar area.
- Demonstrated ability to source and attract candidates at different professional levels.
- Experience interviewing candidates and assessing their qualifications.
- Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to manage several open roles at once.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with candidates, managers, and leadership.
- Self-directed work style and comfort operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: experience recruiting in legal, professional services, healthcare, or corporate settings.
- Preferred: familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Workable, or similar platforms.
- Preferred: understanding of employment laws and recruiting best practices.
- Preferred: experience supporting high-growth companies with continuous hiring needs.
- Preferred: knowledge of employer branding, talent marketing, and passive candidate sourcing.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Preferred: bilingual English and Spanish candidates are a plus.
