Role overview
We are hiring a Talent Acquisition Coordinator for a 6-month contract within the Post-Offer Talent Acquisition function. The role is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in Canada. It sits in the People, Culture & Branding department, and the preferred working schedule is 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
This position focuses on ensuring a smooth post-offer journey for candidates. You will handle activities such as requisition assignment, offer letter preparation, and coordination of pre-employment screening. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys structured work, can juggle multiple priorities, and works effectively with recruiters, hiring managers, and other internal partners.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the post-offer process from offer acceptance through to candidate onboarding.
- Prepare and track offer letters, making sure they are accurate and completed on time.
- Follow the status of background checks and work to clear any pending items.
- Assign requisitions in Workday while meeting defined service-level targets.
- Act as a contact point for candidates, hiring managers, and internal teams during the post-offer stage.
- Look into Workday issues that affect offer letters or screening workflows and help resolve them.
- Keep records up to date and ensure hiring steps follow established compliance requirements.
- Work with the team on process improvements and any additional special projects.
Experience and technical requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting coordination, HR operations, or a similar administrative role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 at an intermediate level.
- Comfort handling several tasks at once while still meeting deadlines.
- Strong organization skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work on your own and escalate concerns when needed.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred background
- Experience supporting recruiting or sourcing teams.
- Exposure to Workday or another applicant tracking system.
- Post-secondary study in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related area.
- Background in financial services or banking is an advantage.
- Familiarity with pre-employment screening and onboarding processes is helpful.
