Position overview

This role is responsible for end-to-end demand and supply planning for the Australian plant, while also coordinating with plants in other regions. The Supply & Demand Planning Lead will own the S&OP process, converting commercial forecasts into practical production and materials plans and improving visibility, service levels, and cost outcomes across Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Procurement.

The position plays an important part in improving efficiency, service performance, and cost control across the network, while working closely with multiple functions and helping shape how the business serves customers now and in the future.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the complete demand and supply planning cycle across several business units and plants.
  • Run the S&OP process by aligning commercial demand with available capacity and cost targets.
  • Monitor import flows in coordination with plants outside Australia to help ensure smooth deliveries.
  • Turn forecasts into confirmed production schedules and materials plans, applying freeze and flex controls where needed.
  • Own inventory strategy, optimisation, and overall stock health across the network.
  • Work with Procurement, Finance, and Logistics to reduce constraints and build cost-to-serve scenarios.
  • Oversee planning platforms such as ERP, MRP, and APS, while promoting better data quality and digital improvements.
  • Lead special initiatives including network optimisation and site consolidation planning.
  • Coordinate special orders for major projects such as hotels and commercial buildings to support on-time delivery.
  • Create clear dashboards and management reports for executives and key stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Candidate profile

  • 8 to 12+ years of experience in integrated planning, with solid depth in both demand and supply planning.
  • Strong ownership of S&OP and sound commercial judgement to balance demand, capacity, service, and cost.
  • Advanced analytical ability, including forecasting, scenario modelling, Excel/SQL, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP platforms and advanced planning systems.
  • Background in multi-plant planning, including offshore operations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-influencing skills across functions and teams.
  • Well organised, outcome-focused, and comfortable working across both detailed and strategic views.
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package.
  • A workplace that supports internal mobility and ongoing professional development.
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact on service, cost, and operational performance.
  • Access to a social club and other employee benefits.
