Role overview
A healthcare-sector organisation is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for a 12-month contract in Dublin. In this role, you will work as part of the supply chain function to help keep supply moving smoothly, support service continuity, and handle operational issues across a network of internal teams, suppliers, and distribution partners.
What you will do
- Serve as a main contact for supply chain and logistics-related queries, coordinating with vendors and partners to clear up routine operational issues.
- Run and facilitate recurring demand and supply review meetings, with clear notes on decisions, actions, and follow-up items.
- Oversee the full order process from initial receipt through to final delivery.
- Track shipments and respond quickly to any risks that could affect delivery timelines.
- Assist with invoicing activities and work with finance teams to correct billing mismatches.
- Partner with logistics carriers and customs representatives to keep product movement efficient.
- Monitor supplier and customer performance against agreed KPIs and service commitments.
- Keep product and supply chain records accurate, including inventory and lifecycle information.
- Support new product launches and product transfer work, making sure schedules and contractual requirements are met.
- Follow internal processes, legal/regulatory obligations, and quality standards at all times.
Experience and skills needed
You should have at least 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, ideally gained in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices. Strong ERP knowledge is expected, such as SAP, Oracle, or a comparable system, along with practical experience in order processing. The role also calls for excellent organisation, the ability to juggle several priorities, and clear professional communication with stakeholders across different levels.
