Supply Chain Specialist

Role Overview

This position focuses on coordinating product supply across the Middle East and Africa region. The specialist will handle demand and inventory planning, consolidate sales information, manage shipping and trade paperwork, coordinate logistics, and work closely with regional and global stakeholders to keep supply chain activities running smoothly and support sales performance.

Supply Planning and Forecasting

• Create monthly sales, inventory, and purchase plans by product model and customer, and align them with the business forecast.
• Compare forecast figures with actual sales performance together with the sales teams and leadership.
• Use internal systems to place orders, verify stock availability, and support procurement planning.
• Build reports, presentations, and planning documents using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Provide analytical support and business insights to help management make informed decisions.

Data Handling and Analysis

• Gather and combine monthly sales, inventory, and purchasing data from multiple accounts and sales teams.
• Share summarized reports and business updates with the relevant stakeholders.
• Track inventory reports that involve third-party logistics partners.
• Review stock movement patterns, identify mismatches, and follow through on corrective actions.

Trade and Shipping Documentation

• Make sure shipping and logistics documents are received on time and checked carefully from all parties involved.
• Prepare and manage trade documentation such as proforma invoices, order sheets, sales and inventory reports, and shipping papers.
• Validate documents against Letter of Credit requirements and coordinate any needed amendments.
• Spot and resolve Letter of Credit mismatches early to keep trade transactions moving without delays.

Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination

• Work with headquarters and regional supply hubs on product launches, production schedules, pricing updates, and supply planning.
• Oversee both inbound and outbound logistics operations.
• Issue shipping instructions and follow up to ensure goods are dispatched on time.
• Check payment status and required trade documents.
• Keep shipment and payment information updated in real time.
• Monitor import and export activities to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Control third-party logistics expenses within approved budgets.

Process Improvement and Knowledge Sharing

• Train colleagues on Letter of Credit procedures and best practices.
• Look for ways to improve processes and increase operational efficiency.
• Help strengthen overall supply chain performance and service quality.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate should be a detail-oriented, proactive problem solver with strong analytical ability and a practical mindset. Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are important, along with solid knowledge of Letter of Credit workflows, trade documentation, shipping coordination, and international logistics across the Middle East and Africa. The role also requires the ability to train others, communicate clearly, work effectively in multicultural environments, and contribute ideas that improve efficiency and operations.

Preferred Experience

Experience of 3 to 5 years in supply chain, logistics, international trade, or freight forwarding is preferred. Prior work in multinational organizations will be an advantage. The role also calls for strong exposure to Letters of Credit, international shipping documents, shipping instructions, container utilization, logistics planning, and customer or stakeholder management across several countries and cultures. Hands-on use of ERP platforms and supply chain tools is also preferred.
