Job description

Role overview

We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for a partner organization in the United States. The role supports a layered manufacturing supply chain, keeping materials, services, and inventory moving smoothly so production and customer demand stay aligned.

This position combines purchasing, planning, and operational follow-through. You will work with domestic and overseas suppliers, help maintain healthy inventory across several manufacturing sites, and respond to demand changes with a strong analytical and practical mindset.

The environment is fast-moving and highly data-focused, so accuracy, communication, adaptability, and problem-solving are important. The right candidate will enjoy improving processes, tracking performance indicators, and helping the supply chain run more efficiently end to end.

Accountabilities

  • Oversee purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers, making sure they are accurate, timely, and aligned with production requirements.
  • Track inventory levels across multiple manufacturing locations and keep stock balanced against changing demand.
  • Review customer demand trends and update procurement and supply plans to keep operations uninterrupted.
  • Gather and analyze supply chain data from different sites to support forecasting, planning, and supplier coordination.
  • Rush, adjust, or cancel purchase orders when needed to match production timing and inventory goals.
  • Create and maintain reporting tools, process measures, and KPIs to monitor performance and surface improvement areas.
  • Assess current supply chain workflows and suggest or implement changes that improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Build productive working relationships with internal teams and outside suppliers to ensure smooth execution.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or at least 3 years of relevant purchasing/supply chain experience in a busy manufacturing setting.
  • Strong analytical ability and commercial judgment, with the capacity to work through large and complex data sets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Good working knowledge of supply chain, transportation, and logistics concepts.
  • Prior experience using ERP or MRP platforms is strongly preferred, particularly Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Ability to handle several priorities at once, stay organized, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Clear communication, practical problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
  • Hands-on experience with procurement, forecasting, and inventory planning in a manufacturing context.
  • APICS/ASCM or ISM certification is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.

Benefits

  • Pay that reflects experience and qualifications.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement savings plan options.
  • Support for professional development and supply chain certifications.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented workplace.
  • Exposure to global procurement and multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Opportunities to grow within a large industrial organization.
  • An inclusive culture built on respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
