About the role
In this position, you will take ownership of long-term supplier capacity assurance and risk visibility over a planning horizon of three to five years. Your work will help the organization identify structural supply constraints early, secure continuity of supply, and provide clear decision support for procurement, the business, and senior management.
Key responsibilities
- Own three- to five-year capacity views, structural risk assessments, and critical supplier topics.
- Drive strategic actions related to bottlenecks and supply protection together with Strategic Procurement.
- Escalate promptly when commitments, investments, or viable countermeasures are missing.
- Facilitate sound decisions on scenarios, capacity assumptions, and supplier risk topics.
- Track agreed actions and long-term supplier commitments through to completion.
- Derive long-term demand needs, demand profiles, and dependent capacity requirements.
- Perform capacity analyses, scenario planning, and risk assessments.
- Collect, validate, and continuously update commitments from selected suppliers.
- Identify structural gaps in capacity, technology, maturity, and delivery capability.
- Define mitigation measures together with procurement and other relevant functions.
- Prepare robust management-ready decision papers and recommendations.
What we are looking for
- A completed degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations.
- Strong understanding of long-term demand, capacity, and scenario planning logic.
- Confidence working with strategic supplier interfaces in a global environment.
- Excellent analytical ability and a structured mindset, even when working with uncertainty.
- The capability to solve issues independently within defined processes.
- The ability to translate structural risks into clear action options and decision proposals.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders at specialist and management level.
