About The Role
Sulzer Pump Services is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee operations across 12 locations nationwide. This role is crucial for establishing, supporting, and continuously enhancing the supply chain management program for the Pump Services Product Line.
Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts, and ensure the punctual procurement of necessary raw materials and components.
- Orchestrate the efficient and cost-effective transportation, warehousing, and storage of goods to guarantee timely delivery.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels for both raw materials and finished goods by analyzing stock data and ensuring sufficient supply for production and customer orders.
- Develop demand forecasts, create production schedules, and collaborate with manufacturing teams to align output with market requirements.
- Foster and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and clients to ensure seamless collaboration and effective issue resolution.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing logistical functions and processes to pinpoint areas for enhancement and implement policies to boost efficiency.
- Develop and execute strategies aimed at reducing costs throughout the entire supply chain, from initial sourcing to final delivery.
- Optimize processes and resource allocation to increase production output and improve overall operational performance.
- Ensure the prompt and reliable delivery of products to customers, thereby contributing to a superior customer experience.
- Leverage performance data and analytics to inform decision-making and guide strategic improvements.
- Proactively identify potential supply chain risks, such as disruptions or unexpected demand surges, and formulate mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical field, OR a Bachelor's degree in a business discipline related to supply chain, vendor management, or business analysis.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, with a focus on supply chain management and business analysis.
- Demonstrated P&L responsibility for at least 5 years.
