Role overview

Future Afghanistan is hiring a meticulous and well-organized Supply Chain / Logistics Coordinator to help run logistics operations smoothly from start to finish. The role focuses on moving goods, materials, and information efficiently across the supply chain, keeping shipments on track, maintaining precise records, supporting inventory control, and helping ensure deliveries arrive on time.

In this position, you will collaborate daily with suppliers, transport providers, warehouse staff, and internal teams to keep operations running without disruption. The job suits someone who can juggle multiple priorities, solve issues quickly, and stay effective in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day logistics work, including shipping, receiving, and distribution flows.
  • Monitor shipments and act quickly to address delays, discrepancies, or delivery problems.
  • Keep inventory, order, shipment, and logistics records accurate and up to date.
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with procurement tasks and order fulfillment activities.
  • Support stock checks, inventory control, and warehouse coordination.
  • Compile logistics reports, performance notes, and operational summaries.
  • Help ensure adherence to shipping rules, company procedures, and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate transport schedules and delivery plans.
  • Spot inefficiencies in operations and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Maintain logistics platforms, databases, and tracking tools.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activity with business requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a similar discipline.
  • Working knowledge of logistics processes, supply chain flow, and inventory management.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Excel and basic data-handling tools.
  • Exposure to ERP or logistics software will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong planning, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail in documentation.
  • Clear communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and make quick decisions.
  • Capable of handling deadline-driven and time-sensitive work.
  • Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
