Job description

About Tetr College of Business

Tetr College of Business is an innovative undergraduate program under Masters' Union, dedicated to nurturing future business leaders and entrepreneurs. We emphasize experiential learning, industry immersion, and a forward-thinking curriculum to equip students for the global business landscape.

The Opportunity

This is a comprehensive welfare role with significant depth, involving support from initial student anxieties to complex medical escalations. You will contribute to designing systems and content to proactively address student challenges. Working within a six-person regional team, you will travel and operate collaboratively across Dubai and India. The core purpose of welfare at Tetr is student development, focusing on building students' capacity to navigate challenges, seek support, and grow through adversity. This philosophy influences all aspects of welfare case management and support design.

What You Will Achieve

  • Build trusted relationships with a cohort of over 300 students, encouraging them to seek support proactively.
  • Manage a caseload of welfare concerns from initial contact to resolution, maintaining thorough documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Head to co-design and deliver orientation programs and term events.
  • Contribute to at least one Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) or process improvement to enhance the team's welfare response efficiency and clarity.
  • Obtain Mental Health First Aid certification if not already held.

What You Will Own

Student Welfare and Support

Serve as the primary contact for student welfare issues, including academic stress, mental health, interpersonal conflicts, health concerns, homesickness, and financial difficulties. You will triage, document, escalate as necessary, and ensure genuine resolution of cases. Proactive identification of struggling students is also a key responsibility. You will support initial behavioral interventions and student conduct intake, escalating to the Regional Head when required.

Orientation and Programme Delivery

Co-design and deliver orientation programming with the Regional Head, contributing to both the conceptualization and execution. Facilitate student-facing sessions, workshops, and community events throughout the term. Assist in delivering cultural and business immersion programs in both countries.

Community and Communications

Manage daily student communications, including proactive updates, welfare check-ins, and event coordination across various platforms. Support Student Council engagement and act as a liaison between students and the broader Tetr team. Foster a strong sense of community, cross-cohort connection, and belonging.

Systems and Documentation

Maintain accurate records of welfare cases, student documentation, and term trackers, ensuring documentation is clear and usable by others. Contribute to SOP development, identify process gaps for the Regional Head, and participate in post-term reviews to inform future planning.

What We Need From You

Essential

  • 1-3 years of experience in student welfare, student experience, counseling support, program management, or a closely related field within higher education or youth-focused organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build trust with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation.
  • Understanding of international student adjustment patterns, including culture shock, identity dislocation, and the typical emotional journey of a first term abroad.
  • Resilience to handle emotionally demanding situations without burnout, with the ability to recognize and escalate personal limits appropriately.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and managing a reactive caseload.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and reside across two countries for the academic year.
  • A degree in psychology, education, human development, or a related field.

Desirable

  • Mental Health First Aid certification (required within 60 days of hire if not already held).
  • Experience in multicultural or internationally distributed programs.
  • Familiarity with student conduct and behavioral intervention processes.

Working at Tetr

You will be part of a dynamic six-person regional team operating collaboratively across two countries. While the Regional Head provides direction, you will have significant autonomy in managing student relationships and your caseload. The environment is fast-paced.

Progression

Student Welfare Managers who demonstrate strong systems thinking and leadership skills are well-positioned for future Regional Head roles as Tetr expands.

Location: Dubai, UAE & Gurgaon, India (travel required each term)
