Role Overview

This remote, full-time position is for a Student Counsellor who will advise prospective and enrolled students on study-abroad and international education options. The role covers guidance on destination selection, course planning, and application deadlines, along with one-on-one counselling over video calls, phone, and chat. The counsellor will share correct information on admissions and visa steps, help coordinate document preparation with internal teams, and support students and families throughout the journey from first enquiry through enrolment and travel.

Key Duties

  • Provide personalised counselling to students exploring study-abroad opportunities and international courses.
  • Help learners evaluate destinations, academic programmes, and application schedules.
  • Conduct individual sessions using video, voice, and messaging platforms.
  • Explain admission requirements, visa procedures, and related next steps clearly and accurately.
  • Assist in gathering and preparing documentation in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Respond to queries from students and their families in a professional and reassuring manner.
  • Keep detailed and up-to-date records in CRM or student management tools.
  • Track follow-ups to ensure students move smoothly from enquiry to admission and travel.
  • Work with marketing and operations teams to strengthen student support resources.
  • Share observations on student needs and contribute to webinars or information sessions when required.

Required Profile

  • Experience or capability in student counselling and career guidance for academic decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer support skills with a calm, patient approach.
  • Good knowledge of education pathways, overseas study options, and the basics of admissions and visas.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote setup while handling several student cases at once.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; other languages are an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with online communication tools, CRM systems, and common office applications.
  • Educational background in Education, Counselling, Psychology, or a similar area is preferred; counselling certification is beneficial.
  • Previous exposure to student advising, international education, or visa/travel support is strongly preferred.
