Job description
About the Company
OPEN Healthcare US is a modern laboratory focused on improving patient outcomes through dependable, affordable, and fast diagnostic testing. The organization uses advanced lab technology and offers a broad test portfolio, including esoteric clinical testing such as allergy, molecular diagnostics, and specialized mass spectrometry-based assays. The company is growing its footprint in the U.S. and is looking for a capable strategist-marketer to help shape that expansion.
Role Overview
This position blends corporate strategy with marketing strategy. The selected candidate will work closely with senior leadership, contribute to major business decisions, and help define how the company approaches new markets, offerings, and customer segments. The role also serves as a connection point between the U.S. team in Gardena and the Korea headquarters, so strong ownership, cultural flexibility, and clear communication are essential.
This opportunity is also open to high-potential recent graduates who show strong analytical ability, initiative, and an ownership mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and prioritize growth opportunities in the U.S. diagnostic and wellness space, including B2B partnerships, direct-to-consumer channels, and new clinical categories.
- Develop business hypotheses and turn them into detailed business plans and executive presentations to support internal decision-making.
- Create and maintain multi-year financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to help leadership evaluate revenue potential, unit economics, and return on investment.
- Design and test go-to-market plans for new laboratory products and services, including pricing, positioning, and launch timing.
- Track market trends across diagnostics, telehealth, and Femtech, including competitor pricing, mergers and acquisitions, new product launches, and regulatory changes.
- Serve as the main strategic contact between the Gardena operation and the Korea headquarters, ensuring U.S. initiatives align with global objectives and technical capabilities.
- Coordinate work across different time zones and communicate effectively with cross-functional and international stakeholders.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and support special projects requested by senior management.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, especially for financial modeling, and in PowerPoint for building clear strategic presentations.
- Self-directed work style with a strong sense of accountability, initiative, and ability to meet demanding deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across different professional and cultural settings.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities.
- Strong curiosity and problem-solving ability, including the skill to identify trends and connect insights into actionable outcomes.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Ability to work on-site at the Gardena laboratory/office.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years of relevant experience in strategy, consulting, business development, or marketing is preferred. Experience in, or enthusiasm for, healthcare, biotechnology, or diagnostic laboratory environments is also valued. Bilingual English/Korean ability is preferred to support communication with headquarters, but it is not mandatory.
Schedule
The standard workday is 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Some flexibility is needed for occasional early-morning or late-evening calls with international colleagues.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 to $110,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on factors such as education, skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
Benefits
- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
- 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer matching
- Paid vacation and sick leave
- Paid holidays
- Flexible spending account
- ADP discounts
