Job description

Company overview

Pacific Computers Ltd, established in 1996, has grown into a specialist technology partner covering IT hardware, software, and audio-visual needs through one coordinated service. Pacific also invests heavily in employee development so the team stays current with both existing and emerging technologies. Its certifications include ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and Safe Contractor, and it holds partner accreditations with HP Gold Partner, Dell Gold Partner, Crestron Elite Partner, Extron Accredited Partner, and Canon ProAV Advanced Partner.

Role summary

This is a full-time Strategic Account Manager position within Pacific’s Ireland sales team, based in Dublin and the surrounding area. The role is hybrid, with travel required across the territory and occasional office attendance in Dublin for collaboration, relationship-building, and sales meetings. The frequency of office visits will depend on the candidate’s location.

The salary is a competitive base package depending on experience, along with a car allowance, uncapped commission, and the possibility of an annual bonus for exceeding targets.

What the role involves

The successful candidate will focus on growing Pacific’s customer base across corporate, retail, entertainment, and education markets. A strong understanding of AV solutions is essential, as the role involves translating customer needs into clear briefs for the technical team so that tailored proposals can be developed.

  • Take part in internal sales reviews and present forecast updates.
  • Develop and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
  • Build productive relationships with suppliers and distributors.
  • Represent the business at trade shows and networking events.

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Comfortable performing well under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of AV technologies, including VC and UC.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and aware of emerging technology trends.
  • Full and clean driving licence.

Preferred qualifications and experience

  • Background in IT sales.

Additional information

The role requires travel. It is hybrid rather than fully remote, and the candidate must be able to attend the Dublin office from time to time.

The position calls for a mid to high level of AV technical knowledge, particularly across current and emerging technologies, to ensure customer needs are clearly communicated to internal technical teams.

The company values people who are confident, highly motivated, and driven, with the ability to work effectively within a sales team while also managing tasks independently.

There is no fixed stipend or salary figure stated; compensation is described as competitive and commission-based, with additional earning potential through bonus arrangements.
