Role overview
This position is based at Rockhampton Airport and supports several locations, including remote stores and the Alliance Distribution Centre. The role contributes to the needs of Engineering, Workshops, and Procurement by applying strong logistics and warehouse practices that improve safety, operational efficiency, and cost control while maintaining high service standards.
Core duties
- Oversee and assist with store operations so they remain aligned with safety requirements, compliance obligations, and wider business priorities.
- Track, safeguard, and update inventory records accurately, including stock movements, order handling, and transfers.
- Strengthen store network performance by identifying opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
- Support local purchasing activities and promptly manage part sales requests and related enquiries.
- Develop productive working relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and freight partners.
- Follow safety, security, and regulatory requirements, and keep up to date with developments in stores, aviation, and supply chain practices.

Candidate profile
The preferred applicant will bring experience in stores, logistics, or warehousing, ideally with exposure to computer-based inventory systems and preferably within aviation. A secondary education is required, and a current driver’s licence is mandatory. Additional qualifications that would be viewed favourably include a Cert IV in Warehousing Operations or Logistics, a Dangerous Goods Shippers Certificate, and a forklift licence.
