Role Overview
Join the Kalgoorlie workshop team as a mechanically minded and energetic Storeperson / Trades Assistant. In this position, you will support day-to-day workshop and warehouse operations, help maintain equipment and the work area, and assist with receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting qualified trades staff with hands-on labour tasks during pump and related equipment servicing and repair work
- Carrying out post-repair pump testing
- Applying spray paint to pumps after repairs are completed
- Preparing items for shipment and helping manage inventory
- Delivering equipment to local customers and collecting items as required
- Performing general cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping across the workshop and warehouse
- Operating a forklift to move and store pumps and other equipment
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have workshop exposure, experience in a storeperson role, and a practical approach to supporting technical operations. Strong communication skills, the ability to understand maintenance manuals, and comfortable use of MS Office are important. Experience in the pump sector or a related engineering environment would be an advantage.
