About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Storeperson to join our team in Wick, Scotland. This role is crucial for providing excellent customer service through the effective management and control of materials and equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations within the store, collaborating with logistics partners, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all site ordering and deliveries, utilizing company systems to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Coordinate with logistics partners to resolve any stock or delivery discrepancies, including addressing material shortages promptly.
- Maintain precise records of all stock movements and orders through data entry and paperwork.
- Conduct routine inspections of storage areas to ensure compliance with standards and perform basic maintenance as required.
- Manage the organization and efficiency of the depot yard, including the recycling center, ensuring safety standards are met, conducting audits, and reporting any identified risks or incidents.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a stores or warehousing environment is essential.
- Possession of a valid counterbalance forklift license.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- A meticulous and safety-oriented approach to all tasks, with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Proficiency in time management and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to foster positive working relationships with colleagues.
