Role overview
This full-time FIFO Storeperson role is based at the Karratha branch in Western Australia and reports to the Parts Supervisor. The position focuses on accurate, efficient handling of customer parts orders, including interpreting part requirements, picking, packing, and dispatching items to deliver strong service levels. At times, you may also support hose manufacturing, with training provided.
The Karratha team supports customers with reliable machinery solutions and service, helping them maintain productivity and safe operations through Caterpillar equipment and associated support.
Work roster
The roster for this role is 10 days on and 4 days off, with 12-hour shifts per day, including meal breaks.
Key duties
- Carry out general warehouse tasks.
- Pick, pack, and process customer order information.
- Handle minor part repairs and reconcile parts as needed.
- Perform stock checks and help maintain inventory control.
- Operate a forklift safely and effectively.
- Assist with hose building activities.
- Support customers as part of day-to-day operations.
Experience and skills needed
- A current High Risk Work Licence for forklift operation is essential.
- A WA Class C driver licence is required.
- You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are important.
- Good computer skills, including MS Office, are needed.
- You must have strong attention to detail.
- Safe and effective manual handling ability is expected.
- You need to be able to work in varying weather conditions.
- Background in a similar warehouse or parts-interpretation role is preferred.
- Experience with warehouse management systems such as SAP, DBS, or similar is an advantage.
