What the role involves
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Storeperson will help ensure stock is handled efficiently so orders can be received, prepared, and sent out safely and on time. The position covers a broad mix of warehouse, branch, customer service, and administrative work.
- Handle everyday branch administration, including stock tracking, dispatch coordination, and goods delivery support
- Unload incoming stock from trucks
- Operate a forklift as part of branch operations
- Check stock in and out of the store accurately
- Keep the branch tidy, well presented, and shelves stocked for display and sale
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times
- Process over-the-counter sales using the POS system
- Follow and support safety procedures and workplace controls
What you need to bring
The ideal candidate will already have experience supporting a team in a busy environment and will be genuinely interested in Australian farming and agriculture. The role also calls for a practical, organised, and customer-focused approach.
- A proactive and hands-on attitude
- Strong organisational ability and practical work habits
- Current forklift licence
- Valid driver’s licence, which is essential for the role
- HR licence, which would be an advantage
- High attention to detail
- Clear verbal communication skills for building lasting customer relationships
- Good problem-solving ability and empathy when resolving customer concerns
