Job description

Role overview

This is a hands-on field role centered in Georgia, with the main territory covering the greater Augusta area. The position also requires travel into the Charleston, South Carolina market. The focus is on handling store set work efficiently, including preparation, new store setups, remodel support, weekly store visits, product blitzes, section changes, and store relocations.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out grocery, frozen, and dairy reset work, including preparing category envelopes, tags, flag tags, updated planograms, and all necessary set materials such as plastic overlays, trays, pegs, labels, stickers, chip clips, and similar supplies.
  • Clean shelves and displays, verify dates, rotate stock when needed, align sections to the planogram, add new products, remove discontinued or damaged items, and place new tags, plastics, and flag tags according to company standards.
  • Support, supervise, and guide vendors so that planograms are followed, cleaning standards are met, and all work areas remain orderly.
  • Partner with store management, under the direction of the Store Set Director, to plan and communicate moves, changes, and updates made by the set crew.
  • Keep the backroom organized by sorting and boxing reclaim, backstock, and discontinued merchandise separately.
  • Identify and record any planogram revisions or changes that happen during a reset.
  • Work under the Store Set Director during category resets, blitzes, section changes, and moves as assigned by leadership, including areas such as ice cream, cereal, and coffee.
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in the vehicle needed for daily store visits, blitzes, and complete reset execution.
  • For new store openings, unpack, arrange, and level gondolas and shelving from the ground up according to the design plan and specifications, including freezer and dairy cooler shelving per planogram.
  • Help store staff with the initial stocking of the new store set and ensure that planograms, tags, and related materials are accurate.
  • During remodels, work with the store to empty shelves, organize and pack merchandise to reduce customer disruption and downtime, remove old shelving, and place products onto new shelves following the planogram.
  • On non-set store visit days, communicate company initiatives to store teams in a professional manner and relay relevant store feedback to the warehouse or other departments such as DM and Maintenance.
  • Improve the customer experience by following the weekly plan and assignments, working in new products, adjusting sections to planogram, removing discontinued items, checking dates, and placing trays, pegs, signage, and other support materials for current warehouse initiatives.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in grocery operations is required.
  • Reliable, adaptable, self-driven, and capable of solving problems effectively.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Well-developed organizational abilities.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Work location

This is an on-site field position based in the greater Augusta, Georgia area, with travel also required to Charleston, South Carolina.

Additional information

The role involves regular travel, store visits, reset work, new store setups, remodel support, and other project-based retail execution tasks. The schedule is guided by a weekly plan and may include blitzes, section updates, and move coordination as needed.
