Role Overview
The Store Manager is accountable for the store’s overall performance, balancing leadership and direct operational involvement to deliver sales growth, strong service, and disciplined execution. The role requires driving commercial results, maintaining compliance with company standards, and creating a positive shopping and working environment for both customers and staff.
Key Accountabilities
- Shape and implement plans that help the store achieve and outperform sales and profit targets.
- Track sales on a daily and weekly basis and adjust actions in response to customer demand, competitor movement, and market changes.
- Increase revenue through smart product placement, promotions, and upselling.
- Review KPIs regularly to spot opportunities for growth and performance improvement.
- Keep inventory under control to reduce stock shortages and excess stock that could affect revenue.
- Lead, coach, and inspire the store team while building an inclusive and high-energy workplace.
- Hire, train, and integrate new employees so they can perform confidently in their roles.
- Carry out performance reviews and provide constructive feedback, recognition, and development support.
- Identify promising team members and prepare them for future leadership responsibilities.
- Set and maintain a high customer service standard that reflects the brand’s values.
- Handle complaints and concerns quickly, professionally, and with a solution-focused approach.
- Ensure the store remains inviting and customer-friendly at all times.
- Use customer feedback to improve service quality and overall satisfaction.
- Oversee daily store activities such as replenishment, cash handling, and upkeep.
- Make sure all operational and safety processes are properly followed.
- Train the team on operational best practices and resolve service or process issues effectively.
- Maintain strong visual merchandising standards and keep product displays neat, appealing, and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Work with the visual merchandising team to ensure displays support seasonal themes, promotions, and sales goals.
