Overview
Lidl is looking for a Store Maintenance Operative to help keep its stores across the region safe, functional, and well maintained. This hands-on role suits someone practical, adaptable, and comfortable turning their hand to a wide range of repair and upkeep tasks.
The position offers a salary of £32,000 to £34,000 per year, along with 30 to 35 days of holiday pro rata, a 10% in-store discount, enhanced family leave, a contributory pension scheme, and access to ongoing training. What you will be doing
- Carrying out structural upkeep work in stores and warehouses.
- Handling general building and labouring tasks as needed.
- Using decorating skills such as painting and tiling to maintain store standards.
- Completing general plumbing duties with confidence.
- Working regularly with power tools.
- Visiting stores for planned preventative maintenance and identifying issues before they become bigger problems.
What you need
- Previous experience in general maintenance work.
- Good numeracy ability.
- Strong organisation and multitasking skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Maintenance-related qualifications such as NVQ or BTEC are preferred but not essential.
