Job Overview

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Store Driver to join our team in Waycross, GA. This role involves picking and safely delivering parts to professional customers, managing returns, and supporting sales efforts while maintaining store and vehicle readiness.

Primary Duties

• Accurately select, stage, and deliver automotive parts to professional customers.
• Collect returns and core parts from customers regularly.
• Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers, promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
• Manage daily collection of credit account payments from customers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with MainStreet and National professional customers, sharing insights gained from delivery experiences.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to enhance average transaction values.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store premises including floors, bathrooms, product displays, dusting duties, and parking lot.
• Support general inventory tasks such as stocking trucks, back stock organization, and conducting cycle counts.
• Stay informed about product inventory and new stock arrivals to assist customers effectively.
• Engage with walk-in customers to assess their needs and recommend suitable parts or services.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.

• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with fractions and decimals.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules including days, evenings, and weekends as required.

• Willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques continually.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Prior experience in automotive parts is preferred but not mandatory.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification required.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is mandatory.

Physical Requirements

The role involves frequent walking or standing and requires physical activities such as talking, hearing, using hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Candidates must be able to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. Visual capabilities including close and distance vision, color recognition, depth perception, and focus adjustment are essential.

Work Environment

Employees mostly work indoors but may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. There may be exposure to moving mechanical parts, heights, chemicals, electrical risks, explosives, and vibrations. Noise levels generally remain moderate.
