Role Overview
The Store Director is expected to be highly organized, strategic, collaborative, and comfortable taking initiative. This position calls for someone with a strong point of view, a keen sense of style, and a direct, proactive approach. The main focus of the role is to deliver sales and service results while continuously improving store operations and elevating the experience for both customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and grow the store team so business targets are met and individual performance keeps improving over time.
- Partner with training teams to shape a high-performing team aligned with company standards.
- Set clear weekly and monthly goals for the store team.
- Make sure all employees represent the brand professionally, follow company policies, and deliver outstanding customer service to maximize sales and create a strong personal shopping experience.
- Hire skilled, professional talent and strengthen the team by actively networking in the market to attract top candidates.
- Take ownership of the store profit and loss statement and control budgets, including payroll, operating expenses, and inventory.
- Ensure merchandise is presented neatly and attractively in line with visual merchandising standards.
- Keep store processes and day-to-day operations aligned with company expectations.
- Work closely with support departments to make full use of company tools and resources.
- Coordinate with Human Resources on policies, procedures, and development planning for the store team.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with excellent customer service and clienteling abilities. They should have a solid track record of leading large teams or high-volume stores, along with the confidence to coach, motivate, and develop others. Clear spoken and written communication is essential, and the role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience Requirement
A minimum of 5 years of experience is required in leading a high-volume store with more than 50 staff members, or in a multi-unit retail environment.
