Role overview
As a Store Cleaner in Fermoy, you will play an important part in keeping the shop floor, customer areas, and surroundings clean, safe, and pleasant for shoppers. The role includes general cleaning, helping maintain orderly trolleys, and supporting the store’s presentation so it meets Aldi’s expected standards each day.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver courteous and professional support to customers while working on site.
- Help keep walkways and aisles unobstructed so customers can move around safely and easily.
- Carry out routine cleaning duties that contribute to the store’s hygiene, safety, and overall appearance.
- Remove litter from around the store and maintain a tidy external area.
- Clean windows and ensure trolleys are neat, organised, and ready for use.
Skills and experience
- A positive approach and willingness to take on cleaning tasks are essential.
- Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not a requirement.
- You should be dependable, collaborative, and take pride in keeping the store presentable.
- A friendly, approachable manner is important when dealing with customers.
- You need to work efficiently in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Good organisation is required to follow a detailed cleaning schedule.
