Store Assistant - Kilrush

Role overview

As a Store Assistant in Kilrush, you will be part of a busy retail team keeping the store operating smoothly each day. The role combines customer service, stock handling, shelf presentation and till work, with a strong focus on creating a helpful and efficient shopping experience.

You will contribute across multiple areas of the store, from accepting deliveries and replenishing stock to supporting shoppers and helping maintain a friendly atmosphere. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment where teamwork matters.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver courteous and efficient support to customers throughout the store.
• Replenish shelves, assess product quality and keep displays in line with merchandising standards.
• Process transactions accurately and quickly at the till.

Skills and experience

• A welcoming, approachable manner and a genuine willingness to help both customers and colleagues.
• Comfort with physical, active work and the ability to stay productive during busy periods.
• Dependability, flexibility and a positive attitude in a fast-moving retail setting.
• Confidence with numbers and basic cash register operations.
• Previous retail background is beneficial, though not required; the right attitude is the priority.

Working hours and transport
