Key responsibilities
- Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
- Create, run, and update manual as well as automated test scripts for functionality, performance, security, and usability validation.
- Log defects, follow their progress, and confirm that fixes work as expected after resolution.
- Carry out multiple testing types, including unit, integration, regression, performance, API, UI, and security checks.
- Keep test records, reports, and quality metrics up to date.
- Recommend improvements and contribute to ongoing process and quality enhancements.
- Stay current with modern testing tools, methods, and best practices in the QA space.
Required qualifications
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of programming concepts, test automation tools, and the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to analyze technical risks, troubleshoot issues, and uphold quality standards.
- Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Optional but preferred certifications such as ISTQB, ISO, SQA, CQE, or similar QA credentials.
- The role is typically office-based, though some remote work may be possible in certain situations.
- Depending on the assignment, travel may be required for team meetings or client discussions.
- The position reports to a QA Lead or QA Manager and involves regular coordination with development, product, and operations teams.
