Job description

About the Company

Silicon Labs is a major innovator in low-power wireless connectivity, focused on embedded technologies that help devices work better and make everyday life easier. The company combines advanced technology with highly integrated SoCs and supports device makers with the tools, ecosystem, and guidance needed to build next-generation edge connectivity products. Based in Austin, Texas, Silicon Labs operates in more than 16 countries and serves customers across smart home, industrial IoT, and smart city applications.

Role Overview

This role is for a technical contributor within a digital design team working on highly integrated mixed-signal SoCs for low-power MCU and wireless products. The position involves architecture, RTL design, integration, verification, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration across the product lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create detailed block-level architecture and design for digital circuits.
  • Study block requirements, system-level needs, and interface definitions in depth.
  • Draft block specifications and partner with cross-functional teams to shape requirements.
  • Select the right design strategy and define how functionality should be partitioned.
  • Build designs in RTL while following established quality standards.
  • Integrate digital blocks and IP into the SoC environment.
  • Develop SoC infrastructure components such as bus matrices, memory interfaces, clocking, power management, and reset management.
  • Work on the integration of mixed-signal and RF IP.
  • Carry out block-level verification using directed, random, and assertion-based techniques to confirm compliance with requirements.
  • Perform verification for SoC integration and infrastructure.
  • Verify mixed-signal and RF IP integration, including mixed-signal modeling and co-simulation.
  • Write embedded firmware to support SoC integration and validation efforts.
  • Participate in requirement, architecture, design, and verification reviews.
  • Prepare customer-facing reference manual and datasheet content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, VLSI, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of AMBA or other bus protocols.
  • Understanding of communication peripherals.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools and technologies to improve productivity, analysis, and decision-making.

Benefits and Workplace

  • Join a compact, highly skilled team where individual contributions have a strong impact on the product.
  • Supportive culture that values work-life balance and a friendly, welcoming environment.
  • Medical and dental insurance for employee, spouse, and children.
  • Bi-annual health screening and flu vaccination.
  • Office located above Tai Seng MRT station.
