Role overview
This role is focused on strengthening maintenance standards, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. The position involves coordination with production, safety, purchasing, and maintenance stakeholders to keep assets available, safe, and efficiently maintained.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and refresh maintenance work instructions for the assigned area using e-WorkStation and PM+.
- Build preventive maintenance schedules, define standard task times, and keep those plans current in PM+.
- Train and guide production teams so preventive maintenance tasks are carried out correctly.
- Maintain ready access to equipment and tooling documentation.
- Conduct on-the-job training for the standards that have been introduced.
- Set standards for spare parts and maintenance material supply and inventory, and support sourcing of spare-part suppliers.
- Work with the safety network to ensure compliance with Group Directives related to health, safety, and the safety of buildings and installations.
- Drive action plans aimed at improving maintenance KPIs such as TRP, breakdown rate, micro-stoppages, technical slowdowns, MTTR, and MTBF.
- Improve equipment and tooling reliability by addressing obsolescence and implementing backups where needed.
- Contribute to performance monitoring and improvement activities such as cycle-time studies and micro-stoppage observations.
- Take part in Maintenance and ERIM workshops and actively promote ERIM adoption.
- Join Maintenance QRQC and weekly TPM/TRP progress reviews.
- Support troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment with electrical or mechanical issues, including major technical problems.
- Lead assigned PDCA, FTA, and 5-Why analyses under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager.
- Prepare LLCs and Kaizen Cards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Participate in installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment, including safety validation, and support refurbishments where applicable.
- Contribute to EHS and productivity enhancement initiatives.
- Capture, share, and transfer technical know-how.
- Build and retain expertise in debugging and troubleshooting while integrating safety requirements and lessons learned.
- Support process improvement and productivity improvement efforts.
- Work to reduce equipment downtime and non-availability.
- Define and drive corrective actions to prevent repeat breakdowns.
- Contribute proactively to the SAP PM+ implementation project and promote effective use of PM+.
- Help improve maintenance organization effectiveness and overall entity performance by suggesting practical upgrades.
- Assist in maintenance budget preparation and recommend organizational improvements.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives within maintenance and contribute to P-30 targets.
- Support annual contract preparation for critical spare parts and overheads alongside the purchasing network.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and maintenance standardization.
- Hands-on capability in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with maintenance KPI improvement, root-cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
- Ability to train shopfloor teams and transfer technical knowledge effectively.
- Working understanding of spare parts planning, inventory norms, and supplier coordination.
- Familiarity with SAP PM+ or similar maintenance management systems is valuable.
- Ability to contribute to safety compliance, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement programs.
