Job description

About the Role

FairPrice Group Supply Chain is looking for a Specialist, TMS to support a major transport management system transition. This role sits in the West Region of Singapore and is focused on helping the team move from an internally built setup to a vendor-managed cloud solution while keeping day-to-day logistics operations running smoothly.

System Migration and Revamp Support

  • Assist with user acceptance testing and technical validation of new microservices and the upcoming SaaS solution, making sure FairPrice-specific rules such as store delivery windows and loading bay limitations work correctly.
  • Help extract information from the legacy system and clean and prepare it for transfer into the new cloud database.
  • Partner with the team to develop updated SOPs and technical documentation as the operating model changes from in-house development to outsourced vendor management.

Technical Operations and SQL Support

  • Write SQL queries to generate operational reports, investigate delivery mismatches, and check data accuracy across the TMS and other supply chain platforms.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for transport planners and operations teams when technical issues or data discrepancies arise.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle, including planning, build, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes to help ensure stable and dependable releases.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to define, design, and deliver new capabilities.
  • Track application health in production, resolve issues as they occur, and continually explore better tools, methods, and technologies.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with the TMS team so the software revamp remains aligned with actual warehouse and transport operations.
  • Communicate technical requirements and updates clearly to outsourced vendors and SaaS providers.

Requirements

Applicants should have 2 to 4 years of experience in logistics technology, transport planning systems, or supply chain analytics. Strong SQL ability is essential, along with comfort working with joins, extracts, and data troubleshooting. A working understanding of cloud concepts such as SaaS and microservices is preferred. Experience with TMS platforms such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Oracle, or similar proprietary systems is expected.

The role also calls for a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management. Candidates should bring a practical, hands-on attitude, be able to handle large volumes of data in a fast-moving environment, and show strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Background

  • Experience with route optimization, transport management systems, or delivery solutions.
  • Familiarity with databases, message queues, caching tools, and reporting or analytics platforms.
  • Exposure to cloud environments, especially Google Cloud Platform.
  • Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or Grafana.
  • Understanding of scalability, performance, and system reliability considerations.
  • Proven experience with full-stack applications, SDLC practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

Work Style

This position suits someone who is adaptable, technically hands-on, and comfortable stepping into a transformation-heavy environment where the systems and ways of working are actively changing.
