Job description

Job summary

This role is centered on managing leasing activity for the Cornish Centre portfolio. The position aims to improve occupancy, grow rental income and build long-term tenant partnerships. It covers the full leasing cycle, from attracting prospects and negotiating terms to documentation, onboarding and retention efforts. The specialist will work alongside the Commercial Leasing Manager and coordinate with asset management, marketing, operations and legal teams to make sure leasing outcomes align with business goals and comply with internal policies and applicable regulations.

The company is seeking a leasing professional with commercial retail experience to support the Cornish Centre team. Success in this role means delivering occupancy and income targets while ensuring tenants receive a strong service experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and carry out leasing plans that support the centre’s targets for occupancy, rent and tenant mix.
  • Find prospective tenants through market analysis, outreach, broker engagement and networking.
  • Work with the marketing team to produce leasing presentations, proposals and promotional materials.
  • Lead site visits, explain business terms to prospects and negotiate lease deals to secure the best commercial result.
  • Draft lease paperwork, term sheets and letters of intent, then coordinate with legal teams to complete contracts.
  • Oversee the full lease administration flow, including start dates, rent schedules, deposits, fit-out approvals and transfer to operations.
  • Track rent and recoveries with credit and finance teams, and follow up on overdue amounts according to company policy.
  • Keep leasing files, pipeline information and CRM records accurate for forecasting and management reporting.
  • Study market movement, competitor activity and tenant demand to guide leasing strategy and pricing.
  • Work with asset management and operations so tenant fit-outs meet standards, health and safety requirements and agreed timelines.
  • Design and execute retention initiatives, including renewals, tenancy reviews and value-added measures that help reduce churn.
  • Partner with property management on service levels, tenant concerns and day-to-day operational matters that affect occupancy and satisfaction.
  • Assist with tendering and procurement for leasing-related suppliers and service providers when needed.
  • Make sure all leasing activity follows company policy, contract terms and local regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare recurring reports and dashboards on occupancy, expiries, pipeline, vacancy and income performance.
  • Represent the business at industry functions, trade events and broker meetings to expand relationships and promote the Cornish Centre.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Property Management or a similar discipline.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in retail or commercial leasing, preferably in shopping centers, mixed-use developments or multi-site retail environments.
  • A demonstrated history of achieving or surpassing occupancy and rental goals.
  • Working knowledge of lease structures, commercial terms, rent reviews and negotiation practices.
  • Hands-on experience with lease documents, tenant onboarding and handover procedures.
  • Strong business judgment along with solid negotiation and closing ability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, plus the ability to develop productive relationships with tenants, brokers and internal teams.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and exposure to CRM or property management platforms.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Eligibility to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or the relevant jurisdiction, as required for the position.
  • Preferred experience includes local retail leasing knowledge, familiarity with fit-out processes, health and safety standards, commercial permitting, leasing software and data-led leasing methods, as well as existing relationships with retail brands and operators.
  • Desired personal qualities include a service mindset, commercial focus, proactive problem-solving, collaboration, resilience, adaptability and commitment to professional growth.
