About the Role
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking individuals with accounting and finance backgrounds to transition into a Special Agent career. This role is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. As a Special Agent, you will leverage your analytical and data analysis skills to investigate national security threats, including cyberattacks, terrorism, and fraud. Your expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and risk management will be crucial in identifying patterns, uncovering information, and supporting critical investigations. The FBI offers a career path that emphasizes critical thinking, adaptability, and professional growth, supported by competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative work environment.

Your existing skills in accounting and finance provide a strong foundation for a Special Agent role. Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, risk management, interpreting data, and identifying complex patterns are directly transferable. Proficiency in areas like R, Tableau, and financial accounting, which require focus, adaptability, and sound judgment, will be highly valued. At the FBI, your analytical insights will be transformed into actionable evidence, enabling you to move from contributing to investigations to leading them.
