Position Overview
The Software Developer role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that enhance operational efficiencies. Key tasks include analyzing business requirements, integrating automation tools such as Analytics, Tracking, OCR, ICR, OMR, and Robotic Process Automation, and managing solutions through their full lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead or engage in interviews, workshops, and meetings to craft end-to-end technology solutions focused on software-driven workflow enhancements and automation.
- Develop and maintain reliable, reusable source code, including for systems utilizing electronic recognition and robotic process automation.
- Participate actively in various testing phases such as integration, business process, and user acceptance testing.
- Engage in problem detection, resolution processes, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Evaluate, select, deploy, and support off-the-shelf software tools to boost operational productivity.
- Ensure new software implementations align with design requirements, functional specifications, and system compliance standards.
- Critically assess current systems for effectiveness and formulate testing strategies to enhance or leverage them.
- Drive continuous business process improvements through software integrations.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of organizational software and system assets related to assigned products.
- Customize software solutions to fulfill end user demands as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Educational background: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience: Minimum five years within software development/integration, with at least three years specifically in a Software Developer capacity.
- Demonstrated skills in the software development lifecycle and structured programming methodologies, including agile frameworks.
- Proven capability in managing and rolling out client-oriented systems timely and efficiently.
- Preferred exposure: broad technological foundation covering software delivery, IT infrastructure, network design, IT security, and project management.
- Experience in ITIL environments and certifications (v3 or v4) in ITIL Foundations are desirable.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management platforms like ServiceNow or Remedy is advantageous.
- Background across various industries and organizational structures enhances candidacy.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET Web API, Windows Forms, and Entity Framework.
- Knowledgeable with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- Strong grasp of programming languages related to the software products handled.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and adhere to modern industry standards.
- Familiar with Agile Scrum project methodologies.
- Excellent English communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing.
- Capable of interpreting detailed technical documentation for configuring hardware and software installations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork, and leadership capabilities to coordinate with business analysts, programmers, vendors, and end-users.

The role operates onsite in Chennai, India, and reports directly to the Technical Lead. Candidates must be able to manage multiple overlapping schedules, demonstrate proactive problem-solving abilities, and maintain professionalism and enthusiasm within a dynamic work environment.
