Software Developer Backend - C++ / PHP (m/w/d) full remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Developer specialising in database and backend development using C++ and PHP. This is a full-time position based in Leipzig with the flexibility of fully remote work and flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and improve applications related to data management.
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions including planning, development, and testing phases.
• Develop and customize validation algorithms within databases.
• Engage with C++, PHP, and SQL-based database development, especially with Oracle systems.
• Maintain and enhance data import and export workflows.
• Handle support tickets and actively participate in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Produce and update technical documentation; provide 3rd-level support assistance.
• Collaborate closely with the team, business units, and quality assurance.

Candidate Profile

• Completed degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
• A solid 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software or database development.
• Proficient knowledge of C++ and/or PHP alongside database systems like Oracle and SQL.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Jira, Git, and Confluence.
• Additional experience with scripting languages like Python or Perl is advantageous.
• Quick learner with enthusiasm for tackling complex subject matter.
• Fluent German language skills (minimum level B2/C1).
